The problem isn't the rear diffuser alone, but the whole car.
1) Front wing's area & location should be restored to what it was before -- larger & lower front wing means more downforce, therefore stabilizing the front end when drafting and cornering.
2) Cars should be made wider, and the sidepods lower -- a wider & lower car means cleaner airflow to the rear, allowing the next car to follow closer.
3) Go back to using slick tires -- slicks provide more mechanical grip than grooved tires, allowing drivers to brake later and go deeper into a corner before turning. |
