Shoulder Impingement Syndrome - normally caused by muscle imbalance, signs and symptoms include reduced range of motion during shoulder flexion and abduction; shoulder pain especially while loading; and protracted shoulder.
By the way the causes of all these shoulder dysfunctions are too broad, so can't really answer here.....
these can be assessed using techniques like palpation, active and passive range of motion test, manual muscle tests (strength tests rated in Oxford scale), x-ray, etc.
the treatments include: RICE, stretch, muscle strengthening, joint mobilisation, etc. |
