Besides coffee that have gone bad...
African coffee (Kenya, Ethiopia) are dominated by their acidity, much more so than Blue Mountain or Latin American coffee.
But they have very pleasant citrus flavor rather than unpleasant "sour" flavor".
Real Blue Mountain is very rare and expensive since there are only 3 or 4 estates that can legally produce coffee from this region now. Even if you have real Blue Mountain coffee, the quality is really not worth the money. They are famous from a couple of decades ago because it has the most balanced characteristics between body and flavor. But the coffee growers there got greedy and replace the coffee trees there with a different type that can produce more coffee and less likely to get disease. Although this brings profit but ruins the coffee characteristics there over time. It's still possible to get very good Blue Mountain coffee but you are more likely to get coffee that's as good for 1/4 of the money from elsewhere.
瓜地馬拉 Antigua and Puapa New Guinea are good coffee for beginners. |
