as a graducate high school student in a english speaking country, how many vocabularies are enough to be able to read a a 500-page novel? 4 000? 5 000? or more than this?
I believe the number of words that a high school student should know is way more than 5000 words !!! By age 4, a kid should know about 1500 words. And between age 4 and 5, a kid should learn about 1000 more words !
