Inquiry into the reform of Information Technology (IT) and IT education
Abstract
The field of Information Technology is one of the most active, fastest expanding and most influential factors advancing today’s Technological Industry. With the new curriculum reform already underway, the roles between teachers and students will need to be redefined. Students’ wiliness to learn; ability to participate and spirit to innovate will keep rising. Because the traditional Information Technology courses focus mainly on knowledge but not the ability to apply this knowledge, it will soon be replaced by new model of education. How do we best educate the students in Information Technology, cultivate the talents that industry demands, as well as have the ability to compete in today’s world? It is through the analyzing, screening and recombining different courses with scientific approach, then finding the connection between the contents, therefore idealizing the education for Information Technology. And this is the reform of Information Technology and IT education. |
