Do you know where were I at Dec'31'06 ?
I think you aren't able to blieve that we said "Happy New Year" in my customer's computing room !!!
On that day , our engineer reviced a message form the storage which I sold last year .
Message showed " Reboot ... .... ... ... "
Right ! we said "Damn it !"
Our great great engineer who is sweet/honey/God check anything (I mean logs) for this storage at 18:30 .
He told me "I think we will have a good year !" , "what !!!??? "
Because there was something wrong in the system , and he needed check erevy step to re-config .
So we had a special endding with 2006 .

a thought

Interestingly, Christmas day was not the exact date Jesus was born, but neither was it an after-event fabrication. One of the early origins of Christmas was a winter festival on December 25th celebrated by the Romans, called Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, or "the birthday of the unconquered sun." Funnily enough,  to this day we still don't know how December 25th became associated with Jesus's birth, but we celebrated as hundreds of years have gone by.

That's something about Christmas, but it's hardly what Christmas is about in our time. We have many people frowning upon the distasteful commercialization of Christmas, complaining the religious message is diluted, or distorted even. It would be unfair to deny that they have a good point, but that certainly is not the whole picture. Giving and receiving presents connects people who are fond of each other, it's a message of love, done in the name of Jesus. What can you ask more, really?

Anyone reading the scribble I committed here, my condolence for your time.  But as reimburse I hope you have fun, and
I wish you a merry Christmas
I wish you a merry Christmas
I wish you a merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year~~~(singing~~~:emo 053: )

Giving our new moderator support!

(Hey Robert, you are doing a great job maintaining this forum! well much better than me XD. Keep it up!)
So i'm supposed to talk about xmas or new year here huh...
I've been to many places for new year eve. They include Vancouver, Kyoto, and Las Vegas.
In Vancouver i didn't do shit because i was visiting one of my friends and his folks were fking strict. They did not allow us to go out by saying it's dangerous. So it's like the worst trip for new year.
It's better in Kyoto. There was a traditional ceremony for new year. First my japanese friend and i went to see fireworks. Later that night we went to temple. It was fking cold but it's a good memory.
Last it's in Vegas. It's like crazy and everyone was drunk on the street. I was kinda scared but there were many popos there lol. I lost money that year by the way. =,.=
This year... i am not going anywhere! Yay ><
All right that's it. Hope everyone has a merry xmas and happy new year!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
For me, Christmas in Taiwan was totally diferent but also lots of fun. December 25th has never been a public holiday in Taiwan mainly because there are no Christians on the island.

I know we celebrate Christmas in Taiwan, but it isn't as festiveu as the celebrations back home. The streets in LA are beautifully decorated with Christmas lights. All through December, Christmas trees are sold in big lots, and you see parents with their kids picking out the perfect tree to take home and decorate. The lack of real Christmas trees is one of the biggest differences between Christmas in Taiwan and the US.

Even though I can't snowboard in Taiwan, I'm sure I'll find plentyu of fun things to do during this holiday season.

When I was a little girl, we had a big plastic Christmas tree at home.  Mommy dressed me in a red and blue skirt, put me under the tree.  She said I looked like a gift myself.  I was always fascinated seeing my family members decorating the tree.  I was particularly fond of one little house ornament.  I always imagined there would be fairies and Santa Claus staying inside the house.  When years passed, we became more and more occupied with our studies, decorating the Christmas tree was just a routine ritual.  Finally, one year mommy decided to throw away the old tree.  I felt sad and knowing my childhood ended. Yet this Christmas tree will remain in my mind forever.

Something about the Chinese New year

Hello everyone, how is it going there? I hope everything is just great. Here, I m going to talk you guys something about the Chinese New Year.
If we have to choose one of the most important festivals to Chinese people, the Chinese New Year definitely is on the list. Why does the Chinese New Year differ from other days to Chinese people? That is because Chinese people value family more than other things and also most Chinese are extended family. However, people always got something to do on their working days. As a result, it is rarely for all the family to get on together during normal days. Fortunately, the Chinese New Year offers a great opportunity whether it is not a working day or it is a traditional festival for all the Chinese people . In addition, red becomes the most popular color in the Chinese New Year. You will fall into a red ocean while you visit your Chinese friends during the Chinese New Year. Amazing, isn’t it?

X'mas,
In the past few years, I almost spend my Xams traveling from US to Taiwan.  Why? The air fare was much cheaper on the Xmas day (12/25) and there were less people in the airport.  However, things has been changed.  Just like the Chinese New Year in Taiwan, more and more Americans just use Xmas holiday as vacation for traveling.  You can easily see lots of people in Airport even on X'mas eve.  With the high gas price, the air fare is not cheap any more.  This year, I'm still going back home on X'mas but I don't think I will do it again next year. Anyway, X'mas really means nothing to me but a holiday.  I'm more looking forward to the Chinese New Year.  I haven’t been home for the Chinese New Year for more than 10 years.  I really miss that a lot, although thing are quite different now and some families are not there anymore.  I hope I have chance to go back home on Chinese New Year next time.

X'mas and happy new year everyone.
I'm going to finish my school this year and get on with my life in the real world.
It's been tough in the past few years and I hope things will go well when I start my job hunting next year. I hope what I have learned from school will apply to my future job and extend my experience even more. This is my little wish for 2008.

I used to live in Ottawa Canada. Snow is usually at least half a metre high every winter. Many people live in that city skate along the canal to work or school.

Again, X'mas to everyone on CK101 and hope all of you have a nice 2008

Peace out.

Derick
